ST’s STM32H5 series of MCUs leverages an embedded Arm Cortex-M33 core running at 250 MHz and the STM32Trust TEE Security Manager. Aimed at the mid-range class of MCU-based applications, these devices deliver 375 DMIPS for an EEMBC CoreMark industry-reference score of 1023.
In addition to the security provided by the Cortex-M33 core’s TrustZone architecture, ST offers scalable security services accessed via an industry-standard API. The STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager, developed with partner ProvenRun, allows developers to choose from a range of services to achieve the required level of security assurance.
STM32H5 MCUs raise dynamic efficiency to 61 µA/MHz in switched mode (SMPS) and 120 µA/MHz running the linear (LDO) converter (VDD = 3.3 V and 25°C) in run mode with peripherals off. Power management lets developers optimize performance versus power consumption in all operating modes.
Prices for the STM32H5 MCUs with 128 kbytes of flash memory start at $1.44 in lots of 10,000 units. Devices with 2 Mbytes of flash are priced from $2.93 each. Mass production is beginning now, starting with the STM32H503 and STM32H563. The full lineup and package choices will be introduced in June.
