Test and measurement devices such as multimeters are very useful and rather important tools for electricians, electronics professionals, and engineers. They spend a good amount of money on high quality meters. But what if you are a DIYer who like to tinker with microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.) and build small and fun gadgets or projects? You don’t want to spend a fortune on a multimeter when there are several budget-friendly options out there.
We recently got our hands on the TESMEN TM-510 Smart Digital Multimeter. It is a compact little unit that can automatically switch between measuring voltage, resistance, and continuity without any input from the user. Additionally, it also has a very useful NCV or Non-Contact Voltage detection feature. Whether you are an absolute beginner to electronics or a curious person who wants to measure voltage of batteries or an AC outlet, then a simple multimeter such as the TM-510 make a lot of sense.
This is the review of the TESMEN TM-501 Smart Digital Multimeter. We are writing this review after using and testing the device thoroughly for its ease of use, capabilities of the multimeter, NCV feature, and overall performance. Read along to find out more about our thoughts and impressions of the same.
In contrast to popular gas-powered washers, which has a gasoline engine, the WHOLESUN Electric Pressure Washer, as the name suggests, uses electricity to power the motor. As a result, you can use this pressure washer for a long cleaning job as long as you provide water and electricity and you don’t have to worry about gas or other maintenance.
Just plug-in the washer to an electrical outlet, connect the water supply to the inlet and use the trigger gun to clean. It is that simple.
WHOLESUN did a good job with the overall design of the pressure washer. The 20 feet pressure hose can be neatly rolled into the hose reel. There is also a special place at the back to wound the 33 feet power cord so that it doesn’t flop around when not in use.
The only thing that is separate from the washer is the trigger gun and the spray wand. Trigger gun has a push lever to insert the pressure hose. The actual trigger has a lock mechanism, which can be used to prevent accidental trigger.

The spring-loaded lever, which holds the pressure hose in the trigger gun, seems like a possible weak spot for breakage
At the end of the trigger gun, there is an opening to attach either the spray wand or the foam cannon, depending on the job requirement. Since the unit we purchased came with a single adjustable spray nozzle, the end of the spray wand can be twisted (left for a narrow / focused throw and right for increasing the angle of the spray).
The trigger gun and the spray wand can also be tucked in to the washer at the slots on the side. This makes it very easy to store as a single unit without separating the parts from the washer.
Although the WHOLESUN 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer comes assembled for a majority part, there are a couple of things you have to attach before you can start using the washer. The first thing is the water inlet pipe. Our unit came with an insert type inlet, where you insert the water pipe into the inlet adapter and screw it to lock the pipe. And then insert the adapter into the main inlet on the washer.

We were afraid of a possible leak at the water inlet, but the adapter is nicely secured into the inlet pipe on the washer without any leaks.
The next step is to connect the pressure hose to the trigger gun. Pull the pressure hose from the reel and insert the end of the hose into the bottom of the trigger gun by pushing the locking lever. Once it is properly inserted, release the level to lock the hose.
Finally, we have to attach the spray wand to the trigger gun. Simply insert the spray wand into the opening of the trigger gun and twist it to lock the wand securely. After all this assembly, we are ready to plug-in the power cord and pressure wash some dirt.
The WHOLESUN Electric Pressure Washer is an excellent entry level unit when you consider the price to performance figures. It is rated for a continuous pressure of 2200PSI (pounds per square inch) and a peak pressure of 3000PSI. It also has a decent water flow of 1.8GPM (gallons per minute). Finally, it is rated for a maximum power consumption of 1600W.
Based on all these number, we can easily place this WHOLESUN Electric Pressure Washer in the small – medium range, which is suitable for small cleaning jobs like cars, bikes, driveways, patios, furniture and decks.
We performed couple of tests with this pressure washer and let us see the results briefly. For our first cleaning job, we used this pressure washer on a muddy car. When you switch on the unit, the motor starts running but the flow of the water starts only if you press the trigger. This is an important feature, which is called Total System Stop or TSS. It is a type of automatic shutdown feature where the pump is shut off when there is no demand for water pressure i.e., when the trigger is released.
After adjusting the angle of the spray at a medium setting, we started to clean the car and the WHOLESUN washer removed the dirt very easily. It in fact cleaned some dried bird poop off the fender, even when the spray angle is not that narrow.

We felt that the pressure hose is a little bit on the stiffer side. Even after unwinding it from the reel, it kept on tangling.
Then, we moved the washer to my back yard where there is a sitting area and a slab of granite in the center. There was some dried-up stuff (bird poop and some food as well) on the slab, which the washer cleaned off with ease.
For the final test, we swapped the spray wand with the 250ml foam cannon. Initially, I filled the cannon with car wash shampoo. We were surprised by the thick and clean throw of foam on the car. After letting it soak for a couple of minutes, we then rinsed of the remaining foam with spray of water. Grease and dirt around the edges of the door and the handles came off easily.

One final test we preformed is for the noise levels of the washer. At a distance of 1 foot (roughly 30cm), our sound level meter captured the sound from this washer between 89dB to 92dB, depending on the pressure. So, the noise levels of this pressure washer can be considered to be in the low to medium range (when compared to gas powered washers).
At $139.99, this WHOLESUN 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer will definitely be a bang for the buck product. Being an affordable pressure washer with a decent pressure and a 2-year warranty, we feel that this pressure washer is very well priced.

Overall, the WHOLESUN 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer is an excellent washer unit that is both affordable and also offers a decent cleaning performance. If you are looking for an electric pressure washer for small to medium cleaning jobs around your house (cars, driveways, furniture, etc.), then the WHOLESUN 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer is a very good option. Even though it is not a big brand, WHOLESUN offers 2-year warranty on the product.
If you are looking for an even affordable pressure washer, then the Homdox 2500PSI Electric Pressure Washer might be a good choice. It is significantly smaller when compared to the WHOLESUN 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer (both in terms of physical size as well as performance). But you get a decent 2000PSI water pressure with a flow rate of 1.5GPM. if you have one car and a small drive way to clean, then the Homdox is an affordable option.
Another option that is similar to the WHOLESUN offering is the Suyncll 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer. The price and performance figure are identical to that of the WHOLESUN 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer. It might be a rebranded WHOLESUN product after all.
